Infoscreen

The Infoscreen is a bigger project I started in 2008. It consists of a special unique hardware and an also unique software.

To build the hardware, you need $$$ to buy the following:

• 42" Philipps Ambilight TV 42PFL7603D
  
• 42" iNexio infrared multitouch panel NIB 420B
  
• Asus EEE pc desktop (well actually you should buy a faster machine as videos do not really run properly...)
  

Then you need someone to assemble all this... Richard Haensch of the RBG at our department did a great job with that — thank you Richard!.

Then you get this amazing fancy toy here, that even looks much better than the original TV... the worlds first 42" touchscreen with Ambilight...

Especially with the Ambilight it catches attention as it is very shiny...

The Infoscreen is an information touchscreen that will be mounted in our department. The concept is interesting concerning the hard- and software:

• Our hardware is a worldwide unique customized touchscreen with ambilight!
• The software is a web based information system.
